About

SpokenCode is the result of 10 years of experience being a technically savvy web professional working in a variety of environments including small businesses, boutique web start-ups, government agencies and international companies. This experience provided opportunities to work in many roles and has allowed me to gain a broad understanding of how all pieces of an information system or website work together to empower existing users and engage new users. My skills include:

Branding

Whether WordPress, DotNetNuke, SharePoint, or another platform, I’ve created and/or translated visual designs to many platforms ensuring clients’ identities are consistently represented online.

Information Architecture

Knowing your audience and business objectives is necessary to develop an intuitive information architecture and navigation structure so users can quickly find what they need, discover related information and become customers. I’ve used wireframes, site maps, mind maps, process maps, visual mockups, and card-sorting to get the job done.

User Experience

It’s not just about looking nice, but whether it makes sense. I’ve created wireframes, process flows and visual mockups based on a defined information architecture that have guided development teams to produce highly usable web tools.

SharePoint 2010

Think outside the box. SharePoint is a enterprise collaboration portal used for public-facing, intranet and extranet sites. Don’t wreck your brand using an out-of-the-box theme. I’ve custom designed themes, Master Pages, Publishing and Layout Pages for large scale sites. Plus, I can design custom SharePoint workflows, content types, navigation and more so that users get satisfaction, and your company gets their ROI.

WordPress

Used on over 200 million websites, WordPress is the leading blogging platform and lite CMS and best of all, it’s free. I’ve custom designed numerous websites and blogs powered by the simplicity, power and extensibility of WordPress.
